Ways to monitor FLW: Review and recommendations on data collection and reporting for the Russian context

In 2015, all 193 UN member countries agreed to halve global food loss and waste by the year 2030. At national level, first step is usually measure extent of problem set targets. Countries that initiate inventory their (FLW), frequently find out first, amount FLW bigger than was initially anticipated, second, there are massive data gaps, including quality, granularity, representativeness, collaboration prioritization etc. Russia no exception. this article, we will make an overview what already happening in regarding issue can be learned from international examples—mainly, Netherlands. Despite many existing methodologies practices being limited scope, reach, accuracy etc., it more important select appropriate and/or feasible now wait for invention a perfect quantification methodology unforeseeable future.
